The verses that have REALLY spoken to me (Sarah) lately....

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. I Peter 5:8-9

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. One Favorite Day of the Year....

One of our top favorite days of the year is the "Food Fest" our hometown has called "Taste of Newton." This is the evening event where many food vendors come out and sell food in the middle of Main St. According to the local newspaper, 7,500 people showed up to the event this year -- not too bad for a smaller town.

Generally, there are bands performing, choirs from schools performing, etc. Marc's group from "Ultimate Martial Arts" also did a demo.

My dad actually took this photo of Marc during the demo. My dad is a much better photographer than I am (apparently, it's not genetic).

I did take this photo of Marc from behind.

What did Luke do during this demo? Well, he started off by sleeping. Then, he woke up, and he stayed awake throughout the rest of the evening while we ate.

My dad also took this photo. Luke had just woke up, and he wasn't much in the mood for smiling.

Lastly, my dad also this photo of our friend Ava next to Luke. She really enjoys being around Luke. That's a good thing since Ava's mom will be watching Luke when I go back to work very soon.
