Welcome....Here's a glimpse of our happenings!

The verses that have REALLY spoken to me (Sarah) lately....

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. I Peter 5:8-9

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' Acts 17:26-28

May the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. Deuteronomy 5:32-33

God, our God, will take care of the hidden things but the revealed things are our business. It's up to us and our children to attend to all the terms in this Revelation. Deuteronomy 29:29 (The Message)

What a Beautiful Day!

I first want to start out this blog post to remind everybody to continually pray for Cora and her parents, Joel and Jessica (see "The Macs" blog -- the link is on the left side of this page). It is very hard for all of us to see Joel, Jess, and especially little Cora go through this ordeal. However, we know we have a good and just God who taking care of the situation with His perfect planning.

Not knowing how to make an easy transition from that, here it goes....

Don't you just love it when you have an absolutely perfect gorgeous day in February? For those of our readers who don't live here in Kansas, today was one of those days -- nearly 70 degrees and calm winds.

I took Luke this afternoon (along with a couple of other moms from our Sunday School class and their kids) to the park. This was Luke's very first trip to the park. Luke does very well sitting now -- still with a little bit of support, however. I put him in the baby swing, and as you can see, he did enjoy it!

Luke's little friend, Ava, wanted to push him. So, her mom (Andrea) and I let her with some supervision :) She did a very good job at pushing Luke -- not too high. Luke was a little more serious in this photo, but he was still enjoying the experience, nonetheless.

Little Ava insisted that I take her picture. So, here's a picture of Ava pushing Luke in the swing.

Luke's friend Ollie (and his mom and baby sister) was also at the park. Ollie's a typical boy who likes to climb. Just before this photo was taken, he was trying to eat something he shouldn't have been eating (not sure what it was). Don't worry Kendall and Joel, Andrea and I stopped him from eating whatever it was.

After the park, I needed to go to the grocery store for a few things. Luke has been to the grocery store many times with me; however, he's always stayed in his carseat. Today, however, he got to sit up in the cart like a big boy. He did very well with it; however, I'm very glad that the shopping carts have seatbelts. He still needs that extra support to avoid falling over to the side.
An older woman approached him right after this photo was taken. He smiled at her and her response was simply, "Oh, they always know when they see a Grandma." Yep, I agreed with her. They always do know.

**As a side note, at the park, I met a woman who also blogs. In fact, I had looked at her blog before. It was nice to meet you, Beki.

Um, if he needs more support in the grocery cart just stop at the paper towel aisle first and place two on either side to hold him up. You can put them back when you're done too.
