The verses that have REALLY spoken to me (Sarah) lately....

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. I Peter 5:8-9

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. Half a Year....

Today is Luke's 1/2 birthday. Can you believe it -- six months already? We did our usual photo shoot in the chair.

Just a recap...

At one month (in August)....

At three months (in October)....

And this morning, at six months....He wasn't wanting to hold a smile for very long. So, we merely just have the mouth hanging open.

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Luke!!!!! We LOVE you a whole bunch.

**As a side note, the top he is wearing is a onesie from "Gymboree." Here's the kicker, though. It's a 12-18 month size. Now, we know Luke is a little big for his age, but he's not that big. Most of his things he wears are 6-month size. Do any of the rest of you have Gymboree clothes that are way smaller than the "claimed" size? The onesie is actually from "Goodwill." Andrea and I did a bunch of second-hand shopping for our kids last Saturday -- and ourselves as well :) We found some pretty good deals.
