The verses that have REALLY spoken to me (Sarah) lately....

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. I Peter 5:8-9

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. Luke's Big Race....

When Luke was 2, almost 3, he ran in a race -- the Wichita River Run Tot Trot. He actually won the race. Luke has ZERO recollection of this race -- other than he has a medal from it so we tell him about it.

Several weeks ago, Marc once again entered him in this race. Unfortunately, Kate & I stayed home & missed the race because Kate was recovering from an illness.

But, Marc captured some great pics. NOTE: Luke has race #5443.

Luke finished in 2nd place!!!! It was an exciting day for all of us!!! We didn't tell him to "try hard". We told him to "DO his best". We think he did as he ran his little heart out!!!!
