Welcome....Here's a glimpse of our happenings!

The verses that have REALLY spoken to me (Sarah) lately....

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. I Peter 5:8-9

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' Acts 17:26-28

May the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. Deuteronomy 5:32-33

God, our God, will take care of the hidden things but the revealed things are our business. It's up to us and our children to attend to all the terms in this Revelation. Deuteronomy 29:29 (The Message)

*****

This morning, Luke and I went uptown to run an errand. It has become a SEVERE habit that, after going uptown, I drive around the "long way" so that Luke can see more trains -- more than one would already see merely crossing the tracks in this town.

Admittedly, each time I do it, it's totally and completely worth it to see Luke's face light up over his complete and utter fascination with trains.

Today, however, while stopped at a stop sign (with nobody behind me), I turned around and managed to snap a very cute photo of our little guy....Yes, to see this cute face made it once again completely worth it to travel the "long way" around to see trains.

After seeing a few trains, we headed off to grocery shopping at Wal-Mart....

Upon pulling into our driveway, I once again made a stop in the driveway BEFORE pulling into the garage. I pulled the camera out....

"What was Luke watching," you might ask?

Monday's a big day in our neighborhood (at least for Luke)....For Luke gets to watch the trash truck.

Small moments like that make me so very thankful that I do stay home full-time with Luke. Otherwise, I'd never get to see the thrill in his eyes over the trash truck :)

Hey, I noticed you were gone too... I just rememebered seeing your post on FB about taking a hiatus. Although several times in the past few days I thought about leaving a few hundred comments... you know, just becasue. And YES! Of course we missed you! :D ♥ Everyone has to take a break... I did that almost all of August and September. Blogging is the last thing on my list, anyway. It's just nice to do when I have time and am in the mood.

Luke's sweet smile is always so wonderful to see in your photos.

Those new trash trucks are something' to watch, huh. Jerry even stands at the window and watches them. LOL! ;)

I have missed your posts :) Can't wait to hear more about what is on your mind lately. Funny, because I was just on here this morning looking to see if you had posted! See you soon!

I HAVE MISSED you too! Good to see you back. Now...it's my turn to be away.

A little break is always a good thing! That way we don't get too wrapped up in it all!

Good to have you back, but breaks are sometimes necessary.

I LOVE watching the trash truck! How the arms go out and grab the can, empty it, then set it nicely back down.

But then I love trains too. :-)

On the 2nd picture of Luke, I thought perhaps his hat flew out the window. Our son, Josh, LOVED trash trucks at age 2. He drew pictures of them in detail! Really good ones for age 2 too.

i'm glad you're back, dear :) like Ramona's mom says in one of the books we read in 3rd grade, "Dear Heart, oh how i've missed you..." :)

What a good momma you are to take the long route, and stop for the fascinating things in life. Luke is very observant and curious. Great life qualities and wonderful you encourage that.

Your chicken and noodles looked very tasty and have my mouth watering. Glad the hubby seemed better too.
