LOVE the tree... so pretty :) i think you should do a post on your favorite ornaments... :) give a little history about them... :) hehe :)
and i hafta ask... tell me the special connection between chili and cinnamon rolls... i had never heard of the combination until i read some KS blogs... i'm not a chili eater (don't like beans), but i can become one if it means me getting a cinnamon roll! :) do you hand make them? :) mmmmm :)
looks like a yummy week at chez Friesen... kinda jealous, actually...homemade pizza...spaghetti? i may have to copy some of your plan for next week! :)
:)
beautiful tree and sweet memories of tree cutting.
Years ago, before our last child was born, we went tree hunting w/my parents. It was chilly and fun. Our daughter wandered about the trees a bit. Wasn't long before I heard a song..."oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree..." She was 4yrs old and I didn't realize she even knew the song!
This is still a very cherished memory for me. Especially now that we are planning the wedding for that little song bird.
Wow! Let me grab my sunglases. LOL! That is so pretty. Bet Luke is lovin' the bright pretties on the tree.
If you don't have them already, you should find the blocks (or have Marc make them from wood scraps) that have all the different shapes and sizes for Luke to use along with his regular blocks... so he can start making towns and buildings and things. That would really get him goin' on those towers and other ideas! (I made/sawed my boys' blocks and other shapes myself when they were little, it was such fun. Sanded them well, painted and sealed to finish.)
Mmmmm, chili and cinnamon rolls. One of our favorite meals. I make both from scratch. Back when I was in junior high, this was a meal looked forward to by all the students in the school because it was sooooo yummy... and the rolls were twice as big as the bowls the chili was in, LOL!
