He's my one and only sibling -- two years, one month, and eight days younger than me.
He's a staunch conservative when it comes to politics. He enjoys hunting. He manages the DQ I work at, and yes, we can work together. He's a wonderful father to two girls -- Grace and Natalie. His wife's name is Amber. We're different in a lot of ways, but in some ways, we can be similar (for example -- many times, our sense of humor is the same).
He doesn't look anything like me. In fact, most of the time, people don't realize we're even brother and sister. One time, when I was in college, we went and had some photos taken together at JC Penney. When we first arrived, the photographer asked us if these were engagement photos. Joel responded EXTREMELY quickly, "NO!" But, we do have the same set of biological parents, and we were raised by those same parents :)
So, Happy 31st Birthday Joel!
Here's a photo of Joel, holding Luke in the hospital about 12 hours after he was born. Luke was his first nephew!

You are right. You look nothing alike! I can say that my brothers and I are definitely cut of the same cloth. Everyone knows we belong to the same family. And Al and his brothers look alike too.
Debby
I remember when Joel and I first started dating that he said he thought he was adopted because he didn't look like anyone in the family (he does remember what your mom looks like, right???) :-)
